1. Spring Cleaning Donation Blitz  Yard Sale!

On day one we were completely overwhelmed with support from our community!!!  As a result, we are unable to accept more donations for our Donation Blitz.  We should be able to open up for regular donations soon!  Watch our Facebook page for more details.

Of course, after our clients shop for all of the items they need to set up a new home, we will open our donations up for a yard sale to raise important funds for our shelter operations.  The yard sale will be donation based so get everything you want and make a fair and reasonable donation to the HER Shelter and it is yours!!

We Are on the Front Line, Please Help!

The HER Shelter needs your help!  We are in unprecedented times.  The Coronavirus has changed how we must serve our clients and how quickly our clients can find sustainable employment and housing.  We are having most meetings with clients via phone.  We have worked with our clients to understand proper cleaning and sanitizing their living space.  We are expecting our clients to stay in shelter longer because it will be harder to find a job and affordable housing.  We are anticipating we made need to place some clients in hotels and that is VERY EXPENSIVE.  Regardless of how we serve our clients, the cold reality is that domestic violence does not decrease but increases during times like this.

The stress from the uncertainty of loss of income, food scarcity, and illness leads to incidents of domestic violence especially for families who are living in tumultuous situations.  Abusers have more access to their victims because everyone is home together.  We are currently not able to accept donations that offset some of our expenses.  Add all of that to the fact that we had to cancel our largest fundraiser, the 2020 Gala, we, the HER Shelter is in of help.  We NEED your help!  Please consider making a donation.  Even a small donation combined with other small donations really adds up!  Women and children who are fleeing domestic violence in our community rely solely on the HER Shelter.  We want to ensure we have resources during this difficult time.  If you are able to help, please click the "Make A Donation" button and give as you are able.  Thank you for making a difference!  Together, we can save lives everyday.
